B52 (“Tank”) is now officially retired and living his best life at Ash Grove in Pewee Valley, Kentucky. Tank is by Son Of Grace and out of Star’s Balance by Balanced Image and was foaled in Acton, Ontario on April 4, 2006. He earned $100,000 racing in Canada before Hagan Saddlebreds purchased him in 2013.
Registered with the United States Trotting Association under the name of Delcrest Sonny, Tank began his show career in 2012, earning the Reserve World’s Champion title in the USTA Open Roadster To Bike class at the Kentucky State Fair. In 2021, he won the title of Roadster To Bike Grand Champion at the 2021 Asheville Saddlebred Classic.
In 2022, he was the unanimous choice to win the Asheville Saddlebred Classic Roadster To Bike Grand Championship. He was also the 2022 Midwest Charity Horse Show Roadster To Bike Grand Champion, the 2022 World’s Championship Horse Show World Champion in the Amateur Roadster To Bike Division 1 qualifier class and the World’s Champion of Champions in the Amateur Roadster To Bike Championship, all with Scott Hagan. In 2023, Tank has won the Amateur Roadster To Bike division at the Midwest Charity Horse Show, the Roadster To Bike Amateur Division and the Roadster To Bike Championship at the Mercer County Fair, the Roadster To Bike Stake at the Shelbyville Horse Show and the Roadster To Bike Stallion/Gelding Stake, Section A, at the Kentucky State Fair World’s Championship Horse Show, all with Scott Hagan, whip. 2024 was Tank’s final year in the show ring and he killed it! His accomplishments included a first place win in the Roadster To Bike division at the Kentucky Spring Premier, a first place win in the Open Roadster To Bike division and Roadster To Bike Stake at the Shelby County Dogwood Classic, a first place win in the Amateur Roadster To Bike division at the Rock Creek Horse Show, a Reserve win in the Open Roadster To Bike division at the Midwest Charity Horse Show, first place wins in both the Amateur Roadster To Bike division and Amateur Roadster To Bike Stake at the Shelby County Fair, a first place win in the Roadster To Bike division at the Mercer County Fair, a first place win in the Amateur Roadster To Bike division at the Shelbyville Horse Show and Reserve win in the Kentucky County Fair Roadster To Bike Championship, all with Scott Hagan, whip. What a great end to an epic show career!
