New World Man was purchased by Hagan Saddlebreds in 2024 at the Mid-Ohio Memorial Trotting Sale and will be shown under the name of Kryptonite. He is a 7-year-old bay gelding foaled in New Holland, Pennsylvania by Donato Hanover out of Ridinthestormont by Earl Of Stormont. Donato Hanover, now retired, was voted the 2007 United States Harness Horse of the Year. He was sired by Andover Hall, out of D Drain, a Donerail mare, and he earned nearly $3 million in his racing career. The most notable of Donato Hanover’s achievements include wins of the 2007 Hambletonian, the 2007 Kentucky Futurity, the 2007 World Trotting Derby, the 2007 Canadian Trotting Classic, as well as the 2006 Breeders Crown 2YO Colt & Gelding Trot. The colt was the recipient of the 2006 Dan Patch Award for 2YO Male Trotter. By winning the Kentucky Futurity, in a world-record 1:50.1, Donato became the first trotter to win more than $2 million in a single season.
Kryptonite will make his 2025 show ring debut for Hagan Saddlebreds in the USTA and Roadster Under Saddle divisions with Scott Hagan, up, and we hope that he can live up to his famous sire’s successful career!
